A few weeks a go I was kindly gifted a Spa retreat in a box from Temple Spa representative and beautician Lisa Mc Mullan. The gift set arrived promptly on my doorstep and was beautifully packaged arriving wrapped with chocolates and information.

I received the Spa Retreat set. A beautiful turquoise blue box which contained nine products to enable you to bring the spa experience home (something we all need at the moment with our beauticians being on lockdown), Temple Spa call it a Skin Vacation. As soon as I received it I followed the instructions on the box, ran a hot bath spritzed, sprayed and relaxed. I even had a little cocktail!

Each product in the box has a certain purpose to cleanse, refresh or just to enhance your mood. After using the products for a couple of weeks I have come across a few favourites:

The Ahhhh! Balm for aching feet is relaxing and refreshing after a long day on your feet or after a long Christmas shopping day/ home-schooling/work from home day this is the product to give your tootsies a little TLC! Perfect after taking off big winter boots as well, your feet actually go Ahhhh!

The Drift Away bath oil made my bath smell fantastic and gave you that relax luxury spa smell to your bathroom, the essential oils were relaxing and felt amazing on my skin.

The Repose Aromatherapy Resting Cream has some voo doo magic in it, as even through these stressful times it made me sleep like a baby.

I would buy this gift set again just for those products however I am a harsh critic when it comes to skincare and have my favourite products and I wasn’t overall convinced by Temple Spa skincare.

If you’ve been following me for a while you know I get almost monthly facials (when restrictions and budgets allow!). And at home I use the Halo makeup remover pads with the Elemis Pro-collagen Cleansing Balm or my cheaper alternative the Body Shop Camomile melting butter unfortunately the Temple Spa cleansing melt had a nice texture but it didn’t work as well as these two products.

I have dry skin and normally use Clinque or Dermologia moisturisers unfortunately again the Temple Spa moisturiser and face mask weren’t perfect for my skin either, however these were samples from a gift set and I know these weren’t tailored to me so I didn’t expect them to work miracles.

However with that said all the products felt and smelt amazing and when I run out of the bath oil and armotherapy cream I will definitely be making another purchase.
