Culture Night Belfast is almost upon us and this year we also have Culture Day. I have to be honest I don’t normally plan a route around Culture Night.I just love to walk around the city be filled with the heightened excitement and discover what I find in every nook and cranny of writers square and the Cathedral Quarter but if you like to work out a route here are a few of my highlights this year…

Want to leave the city centre how about heading to St. Georges market where all this is going on…
Join St George’s Market on Culture Day 2019 (Saturday 21st September) for a day of activities and fun.
Start the morning at 10am with our Wake up with St George’s Market Yoga class in the Market Garden.
11am -12noon
Flower and Plant Corner in the Market Garden with traders Tom Howell and Mums Garden advising on plant care and flower arranging and hosting a fun kids activity.
12-1pm
Traders Demos throughout the market. Come and watch traders as they create works of art including a woodwork demo, silversmithing, painting, crocheting, felt work, cupcake decorating. Get advice from our traders on skin care, beard care, and much more.
1-2 pm Antique Hour in the Market Garden with Melanie and Mary
Bring your antiques and collectibles to St George’s for our antique hour and get general advice and evaluations from Melanie and Mary.
2-3pm Traders Talk: Conversation with traders hosted by Helen Crickard
Throughout the day
Visit our Art Gallery in the Market Garden throughout the day and let your kids create their own art in our colouring in corner.
Whatever you get up to this Culture Night/Day have fun, respect each other and remember that Arts Matter for enjoyment, education and employment! Hopefully the day will encourage you to buy another theatre ticket, visit your local art exhibition, donate a fiver to that crowd-funding page! Respect our NI Arts organisations, companies and performers.
