Last week I attended a blogger night in The Body Shop Belfast and had my eyes opened to a whole range of new products. Now if like me you haven’t really investigated The Body Shop in years, bar the odd Xmas gift set well I’m here to say you are missing out. The Bodyshop now stocks some amazing cosmetics and skincare products as well as there signature bubblebaths.
Over the last week I’ve been trying out a few of these new products, namely The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea mask (ever blogger has been raving about) which I was kindly gifted and The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter which I purchased.
First up The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter, if you have been following my summer holidays and adventures you would know I took a severe allergic reaction to an insect bite back in May. Since then my skin has been quite sensitive and dry I’ve been trying out various cleansers but nothing seemed to help keep moisture in my skin whilst cleansing Until now! This product does exactly what it says on the tin, the feel of the butter on the skin is sublime and it just melts away your makeup and calming effect of the camomile has been soothing on my skin. I love it and it has become part of my daily routine.
The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea mask is a pollution clearing mask. It’s recommended to be used 2-3 times a week. At this point I’ve used it three times over two weeks my reasons for doing so; 1. I like to take time and enjoy a mask so I usually only use them at the weekend and 2. This mask tingles!! At first it scared me as I thought it may be a bad sign but I’m happy to say I had no bad reactions. It left my skin smooth and visibly brighter but it does feel like it is strong so I think I will keep this one to a weekly rotation.
So overall I’m impressed by the new Body Shop products and I’m sure to go back and check out a few more.
PS While I was in the Belfast store last week I also tried out the Amazon Saviour multi-purpose balm which a lot of tattooed celebrities have been endorsing I was impressed by the sample it really put a shine back on my ruby red slippers which are over three years old but most get my hands on a tin.
