Hi All, Have you missed me? I have finally returned from my travels and I feel like I haven’t blogged in ages. So I’m back to it. I started this late one night as I’m currently suffering from the dreaded Jet lag my body cannot figure out what time of the day it is but hopefully I’m getting back to normal (if there is such a thing.)

Ok rant over, but that’s half the reason I’m not vlogging, that and I look like I’ve been pulled through a hedge backwards, I’m covered in freckles and have a tinge of sunburn.

Anyway vlogs will return soon but let me tell you about my travels. If you had read my earlier blogs you will have seen I’ve been planning this for almost a year. I started off in the lap of luxury flying on a private chartered flight to Venice and getting luxury boats to the Hotel Cipriani. It felt like something out of a bond film. The luxury continued in the rooms, they felt like something you would have seen on the set of Gone with the wind; just plain old style glamour. Bright spacious and with views to die for every whim was catered for. We ate drank and where merry for three days taking in the scenery and enjoying delicious four course meals in jaw dropping surroundings. Take a look at my pictures below to get an idea. I have never felt more like a film star in my life and hearing that this was the very hotel that George Clooney held his Wedding celebrations in confirmed my suspicions, that I would never encounter a place like this again…oh unless Mr Spielberg comes calling.

After our few days of luxury it was an early morning shout to get back to the airport to head on to our next flight to LAX and our next stop Coachella. Famous for glamour, celebrity spotting and great music in the sunshine. We landed in LAX and hired a car; my first challenge of the trip was to drive from LAX to Palm Springs where we had been staying. As you all know I drive a little manual Ford Ka and this was a rather large Chrysler automatic to be driven on the other side of the road ahhhh!! However it was worth the drive just being in the bustle of LA and heading straight into the desert was an amazing experience. Later on the trip I got to drive part of Route 66 and through death valley so I was very glad to be able to step up to the mark.

Coachella was amazing one of those things you just have to experience, we attended weekend 2 which was much more about the music and sunshine than the celebs. We were still treated to some amazing special guests for example a rendition of Purple Rain by Usher, John Newman appeared with Calvin Harris and Snoop dog joined Ice Cube for his set. Coachella is a lot about the looks, we had seen some amazing outfits but also a lot of bikinis and short denim shorts a Coachella staple. Beauty bloggers and fashionistas check out my looks below; bohemian sunshine looks, perfect for the desert and of course my accessories one bright bag pack, my trusty red apple bag and some amazing sunglasses  not to mention a few scarfs to use in the cold evenings and to try and keep out the desert sand.

Music wise the acts that grew the biggest audiences and the most attention where Chris Stapleton (a new country music god) with Tennessee tones and an amazing atmosphere of love and fun especially when he starts a duet with his talented wife. Sia for her fabulous dancers the set was more like a piece of performance art and of course the two headliners Calvin Harris who’s sets always feel like an amazing party and Guns N Roses who can still hold a note even if AXL was chair bound throughout the set; sweet child of mine was amazing. I got to see  so many acts I can’t recount them all but I have to say the UK acts held their own amazing sets by James Bay  the 1975 and Wolf Alice. Needless to say I hope this will not be my last time to experience this festival.

After Coachella we drove to Vegas home of bright lights, casinos, little white chapels and some amazing shows. We stayed in the luxury of the Encore at the Wynn. The Encore at the Wynn hotel had the most amazing floral interior and sumptuous beds that you did not want to get out of. As they say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas but I will tell you we over-indulged but loved everything minute my favourite highlight was seeing Le Reve/ The Dream an amazing water show at the Wynn theatre which was made up of world-class high divers, ballroom dancer, swimmers. At one point there was so much going on I didn’t know where to look. Check out the pics below and if you are heading to Vegas this would definitely be one of my recommendations.

After a few days in Vegas and after losing my phone, wit and waistline we caught a flight back up to LAX to explore Hollywood and Santa Monica. I caught up with an old school friend who was a fantastic tour guide who showed us up to the Hollywood sign, checked out the Hollywood stars (and yes I got to put my hands on the very spot where Marilyn Monroe marked the cement, another check of the bucket list). Had a tour of Beverley Hills keeping my eyes out for the celebs and hearing a lot of stories. The next day we checked out Venice Beach which is a sight to behold a lot of crazy stalls of artists and free spirits. On my last day we checked out Malibu beach , a gorgeous relaxing area with some amazing houses, that are to be seen to be believed we transported ourselves back to 90’s television think Bay watch just no spotting’s of the Hoff (although I did hear he actually popped up in Belfast.)

So basically I had an amazing time ticked a lot of things off my bucket list and can’t wait to get bag to normal and start planning my next adventure. That’s all to report if you have any questions or would like to hear any more give me a shout but for now I’m off back to sleep.

Lots of Love
